The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services are making several changes in October 2005 to their medical billing policies. Most of these medical billing policy changes deal with biologicals and drugs.

On October , 2005 C9225 (Injection, fluocinolone acetonide intravitreal implant, per 0.59 mg) will become a pass-through drug. Another code, C9226 (Injection, zioconotide for intrathecal infusion, per 5 mcg) will also get pass-through status for medical billing purposes.
